Introduction

A. J. Renner & Associates / Vista Insurance Partners of Illinois, Inc. is a creative, service oriented problem solver. One of the early problems we solved was how to most effectively approach our clients' surplus lines needs to deliver coverage that was both thoroughly comprehensive and economically feasible. Our solution, as simple and direct as it is, is the framework within which we've built a highly successful and respected business. Our approach has proven itself in some of the most diverse and well known areas of the business world.

Our Background

We were founded in 1985 as an independent wholesale excess and surplus lines broker specializing in extremely complex, and hard-to-place risks to the surplus lines market place. From 1985 until today we have built and developed a loyal customer base amongst our retail producers and clients.

In February 2000 we were purchased by Vista Insurance Partners of Illinois, Inc. which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Summit Global Partners (Dallas, Texas) until February 2005 when Summit Global Partners was acquired by USI Holdings in Briarcliff Manor, New York. Then in May 2007, USI was acquired by GS Capital Partners, a private equity affiliate of Goldman, Sachs & Company.

Today, A. J. Renner & Associates is an operating entity within the USI organization. Our legal name is Vista Insurance Partners of Illinois, Inc. d.b.a. A. J. Renner & Associates.

It's really quite simple. We like to begin at the beginning; it gives us the opportunity to fully integrate with your staff and develop an intimate working knowledge of the problem at hand. Along with your staff, we'll essentially form a kind of "think tank" investigating, defining and creating solutions that meet the special needs of your clients.
